I have had long exciting talks with Francesca Balestreri (Gatteria dei Pipistri),
from which I shamelessly stole the term "Gatteria", not existing in the Italian language, but adopted first by Francesca. Gatteria is also an Italian registered trademark. I, therefore, also thank the real “Gatteria” for having allowed me to continue using this term.
France Vandenabeele treated me with unforgettable moments in Paris and at his seaside home in Cogolin, in south of France .
I remember the time spent at cuddling the cats, running away from his Mexican naked dog who tormented me and eating good mussels at the Lions de Bruxelles with Jean Pierre. I remember his old Persian cat who in the morning tried to steal my rusks in order to lick the butter!
After a few years experience in the European federations, I decided to be part of TICA, the International Cat Association. I saw felines which I had never seen before. From there on my passion for the shorthair ones in general. And, therefore, the research for those which have been the most important bloodlines in the sphynx world. I would like to recall Mar-Rob, Foxwellhall, Rinkurl, Britanya, Belfry, Apaws, Amenophis, Aztec, Kattewick and others, more recent but not less important ones!
I would like to thank Linda K. Williams (Lacey) for her friendship and her continuous support. I would like to thank Michelle Berge (Belfry) for having given me the most special cat ever been born, Robin, alias Burro. A fantastic cat characterized by his gentleness, even though he is a breed animal. Exceptional in his morphology. Full-time seducer of cats and judges…
For their warm welcome in California , for their nice personality…
I touched with my own hands Michelle's Kohanas and I guarantee you that they extraordinary and funny!
I would also like to say hello to my pet taxi, Sue Fenderson (Skinsensational) whom I hope to meet again soon.
In 2007 there have been important changes for the VecchioMulino (Old Mill). After 11 years of activity I felt the need to retire… Kittens, if bred with love and passion, are a great commitment. More than once after Noa's birth I have doubted my ability to carry on with this commitment.
But fortune wanted that I'd meet Tina in 2005, whilst she was trying to fling in this fantastic world. Tina wished to have a breeding of her own. But various unfortunate events prevented her from thoroughly realizing her dream.
I have had the chance to know her and spend time with her. I believe Tina is an exceptional woman characterized by her constancy, her obstinacy, but especially by her passion and will to learn everything and perform well.
Besides that, she has a great heart, an exaggerated altruism.
When she comes for a visit, she brings tortellini and sauce…:).
I have seen her tears while she delivered one of her cats to a new owner, to whom she gave 42 bags of stewed food loved by her cat and a sweatshirt with her own smell on it.
Tina's breeding was called Spillasphynx.
It was so called …. because as from today I am honoured to welcome Tina for as long as she desires or forever. She shall always be by my side, to share this passion and commitment together.
Dear Tina, thank you and welcome home, in our VecchioMulino |
